The Purpose of this resource:

This visual can be used as a prompt for teaching children to wait for a turn on equipment in the playground.

How to use this resource:

Photos or printed names of the children are placed next to 'is having a turn on the' and 'waiting'. Verbal information should be paired with the use of the visual. For example,"It is David's turn on the bike, Sarah is next", or "It is Billy's turn on the trampoline, then Claire's turn, then it is your turn."

Preparation of this resource:

Print and laminate the board as well as photos of the children who will be using the equipment.

Place ‘furry’ Velcro on each blank square on the board.

Place ‘sticky’ Velcro on the back of the laminated photos/name tags. Store photos/name tags on a seperate laminated board.
