The Purpose of this resource:

This resource can be used as a prompt for teaching a child to wait their turn.

How to use this resource:

Photos of the children involved are placed under the appropriate symbol. Verbal information should be paired with the use of the visual support. For example "John is having a turn now, so Allie you will wait".

This resource can be used with individual children (with or without the photo) and can also be used as a generic prompt for a small group or class activity to encourage multiple students to take their turn.

Preparation of this resource:

Print and laminate the board as well as photos/written name of the children involved.

Place ‘furry’ Velcro under each symbol on the board.

Place ‘sticky’ Velcro on the back of the laminated photos/names. Store photos/name tags on a seperate laminated board.
