Sentence Grammar (Syntax)
Sentence Grammar (Syntax)
Sentence grammar (or syntax) refers to the way in which words are organised or ordered into sentences.
This includes the use of joining words such as 'and', 'because', 'but and 'so' to make sentences longer and complex.
A child with syntax difficulties, may speak in short sentences (which provide limited detail) or may produce sentences that are difficult to understand and follow, as the words are in the incorrect order.
