Transitions
Transitioning refers to a change to an activity or situation.
It may require moving from one space to another, or the completion of a task in order to commence another.
Often this can be a difficulty concepts for children with communicaion diffculties.
Transitions cause uncertainty, which may mean that a child:
- May not know what is required of them.
- May be upset at an activity finishing, and not able to express that.
- May experience an increase in anxiety about what may be happening next.
