Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display (PODD)

Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display

Pragmatic Orgnaisation Dynamic Display (PODD) books are a comprehensive communication system organisaed in a way that allows for communication across a range of topics and environments. APODD book takes a user past being able tor request and allows them to comment on their enviornment, express opionions, as well as tell stories and jokes.

PODDs are organised in a systematic way, but can be customised and personalised to suit the individual AAC user and adapted for inidviduals with physical and sensory access needs.

PODDs were developed by Gayle Parter ( A Speech Pathologist with CPEC) in Victoria.

More recently, PODDs have been converted to an app version (called Compass) to allow AAC users to have the PODD with a voice output option.
